| Photo Stamps -
Although usually associated with
apparel, the term 'fashion' has now transcended its
conventional meaning. For true-blue fashion lovers and
followers, it is a lifestyle. For these people, fashion
happens everyday and is seen everywhere. From chairs to
cellphones to cup holders, everything must be stylish and
trendy. Needless to say, this includes their postage stamps.
The emergence of photo stamps has made even conventional
correspondence chic. Along with customized stationery, and
perhaps even sealing wax, in the season's colors, the
fashion diva can now have her mail adorned with stamps
featuring her bag of the moment, a psychedelic print, a
favorite dress, a nifty pair of earrings, a favorite model,
or even her favorite designer. But, like most fashionable
designer goods, even photo stamps have cheap imitations.
Like those substandard reproductions, these fake stamps are
only as good as decorative stickers. Like those fake goods,
using them will get you into trouble.
Before buying designer goods, one should be aware of what
makes them genuine. Each article comes with a specific
criteria for authenticity. Such is the case with stamps.
Primarily, there are two standards used to determine the
authenticity of photo stamps: the PC Postage bar code and
the United States Postal Service logo. PC Postage is a
technology wherein bar codes are created at the image's
right side. The United States Postal Service logo, on the
other hand, can only be used by approved and licensed
vendors. Thus, before making any purchases or ordering photo
stamps, one should check for these two standards. Failure to
do so shall lead to delayed processing and even rejected
mail, a true fashion meltdown. |
